Released

Released 40 x 30 in. Acrylic/Mixed Media on Stretched Canvas. Vertical View,

As we embrace truth, we experience grace and the chains that bind us--such as un-forgiveness, anger, hurt, fear, etc.,--begin to fall away. The inspiration for this painting came while I was seeking a better understanding of Grace and what it means. Grace is God’s mercy (undeserved favor) toward us.

Symbolically, the dove that is embedded in the texture has been released from the chains that had it bound setting it free to fly.

This abstract is designed to hang vertically or horizontally providing the collector with a variety of hanging options. The painting consists of heavy relief texture and archival acrylic paint in yellow with a gray and white wash. Burnt sienna was scumbled on top to accentuate the texture. Signed with artist signature (sjh) on the front bottom right hand corners. Painting wraps edges of the gallery wrap canvas and is sealed with a satin archival UV protective varnish. It comes wired and ready to hang.
